HAAAA is currently in the process of establishing a mentorship program with the goal of helping out younger grads and students with their career paths, and also allowing alumni to form connections with potential candidates for jobs / internships.
We will be organizing a mentorship mixer in New York City on Jan 20, 2010 for current Harvard students during their winter break as a way for students and potential mentors to first network informally. We'd love to have as many Alums as possible attend. Please see the Upcoming Events section for full details.
In addition, even if you can't make it to the mixer, we are still interested in having Alumni involved as potential mentors / career connections. If you would be interested in participating in this mentorship effort formally or informally, please send us your details to haaaa.ment@gmail.com:

Wokai (it means "to open" in Chinese) is a relatively new Chinese microfinance organization that was started two years ago and that works on the Kiva model. Even though when most people think of China they think of it as a fast growing economic powerhouse, the reality is that there exists a huge income gap between the rural countryside and the elites in the cities - and we're hoping Wokai will be able give more economic opportunities to those at the bottom.
Wokai is celebrating its 2.0 website launch on March 11th and you are cordially invited. Event information is below:
